Projects CAN based slip printer interfaceThere is nothing too remarkable about this project, it converts CAN bus commands to printer commands for use with vehicle mounted slip printers. What is unique is that the entire project, circuit board and firmware was completed very quickly because of all my existing board designs and software libraries. An off the shelf RS232 to CAN interface might have been used (at a higher per unit cost) but it would not have given the customer the exact specifications they were looking for! |
